Castle lager is one of the oldest brewed beers in South Africa, having been brewed by S.A. breweries since 1895, and winning the gold medal in 1907. Recently it won the 1997 Australian international beer awards Grand champion and is available from liquorland (Australia) in a limited edition bottle.
